ELECSA new year challenge

It has been two years since ELECSA, the independent Government authorised, no-nonsense scheme was newly formed to enable businesses to self certify under Part P. ELECSA is now recognised as a leading professional body within the electrical contracting industry, across local authorities and within other industry sectors such as the building industry. If you are looking to register with ELECSA or transfer to ELECSA for FREE from an existing Part P Competent Persons scheme provider, ELECSA is inviting you to take the ELECSA Challenge.

Contact an electrician/tradesman who is already registered with ELECSA in your local area to find out for yourself how simple, user-friendly and straightforward it is to register with ELECSA.

As Julian Carter, General Manager, ELECSA said 'ELECSA's approach is about helping businesses to understand and comply with Part P in a simple, honest and straightforward manner'.

'We understand that some electricians are committed to compliance but may not have registered for self certification because they still have unanswered questions and just need a little bit of support and guidance.' All ELECSA's assessors are time-served practising electricians who understand the real needs and concerns of being an electrician and how to work with you on Part P to ensure compliance.

The assessors are employed directly by ELECSA's operational partner the British Board of Agrandeacute;ment (BBA) who is a leading authoritative and independent body for the testing and certification of building products for over 35 years.

Every client of ELECSA receives great care and attention from ELECSA's dedicated assessors who can talk with authority while offering support and guidance on Part P compliance and related issues.

To date, over 3000 applications has been received with many still being processed.

Those few who have not passed the registration requirements are offered help and direct access to their local assessor for on-going advice.

ELECSA's dedicated telephone registration team has dealt with over 25,000 enquiries from electricians, Local Authorities, training colleges and electrical wholesalers, through to housing managers, solicitors and estate agents.
